Why do people still read the bible?

We all know, deep down in our hearts, that this is just a story. Nothing more, nothing less. It was written by a guild of writers over years, accumulating the stories which were told by mouth for years. The events that took place in the story are hardly believable at our time, yet for the day and age it was written, the logic and intellect of the common person was far less than ours.

We know witches don’t exist. We know how the earth works, as well as our solar system. We know a GREAT deal more now, then before. So why can’t we just let go of this book? I keep questioning this over, and over, and always come up with the same dead end:

We haven’t biologically matured enough to understand our aspects of living and dying, we shut them out and force our minds to believe nonsense, just to live a lie so we don’t have to deal with life.

What is my question, you ask? Well, why put yourself, and others, through this tribulation? How can a few words change your life, when the rest of us know it’s all blow out of proportion? To make yourself feel better? I just can’t comprehend what it is, and I would enjoy some answers, if you could.

Perhaps you understand the first teachers are the parents, the next is the school and the third is the society in which one lives. This is truly the conditioning process of us.

Visit http://www.solartechtown.com to view the full video.

In this video I’m going over the following topics:

-What is current and voltage and how those two work together.

-How current flows throughout the solar panel we built in these series of videos.

-How Ohm’s Law works, and how to use different equations from Ohm’s Law.

-Why I needed an analog amp meter for my syste.

-Proving that the amps is what is effected when you break a solar cell and not the voltage.

Was Life created, What do you believe?

Many religious fundamentalists believe that the earth and everything on it was created in six 24 hour days, just a few thousand years ago. Some atheists would have you believe that God does not exist, that the Bible is a book of myths, and that all life is the product of random, undirected events.

See the brochure that was published recently and offered in your area.
The majority of people hold views that are somewhere between these opposing ideas. The fact that you are reading this likely indicates that you are one of them. You may believe in God and respect the Bible. But you may also value the opinion of highly trained and influential scientists who do not believe that life was created.

It is their hope that this brochure (if you are offered this) that will prompt you to examine again the basis for some of your beliefs. It will present and explanation of the Bible’s account of creation that you may not have previously considered and it will emphasize why it really does matter what you believe about how life began. (Hebrews 11:1) . . .Faith is the assured expectation of things hoped for, the evident demonstration of realities though not beheld. . .

This starts the Brochure.

The Living Planet.
Life on earth could never exist were is not for a series of very fortunate "coincidence," some of which were unknown or poorly understood until the 20th century.

Earth’s location in the Milky Way galaxy and the solar system, as well as the planet’s orbit, tilt, rotational speed, and unusual moon.

A magnetic field and an atmosphere that serve as a dual shield.

Natural cycle that replenish and cleanse the planet’s air and water supply.

As you consider each of these topics, ask yourself, ‘Are earth’s features a product of blind chance or of purposeful design?

Nice cut and paste.

Do you have any thoughts of your own?

Window Sun Shades to keep the heat out?

It’s getting pretty warm in my room these days, I have blinds that can’t block the heat coming into my room. Is there a solution I could apply to keep the heat out? Anything that I could stick to my windows’ glass to keep the heat out? How are products like Solar Window Shades? I’d rather prefer a Do-It-Yourself solution.

Thanks!

Go to Home Depot or Lowe’s.

They have Coolaroo shades in their garden centers, at least they did before. They sell those by the yard, they come in rolls like Fabric. They come in several colors. They have them in different thickness (holes)
The more holes, the less heat. The less holes the more heat not coming through your window, the cooler it will get.

We have them for our back patio, when the sun heats us while dining. We just lower it down and it’s 90% cooler.
Doing this method, keeps the room cooler, and you can see see out your window, but they can’t see YOU. At night, they can. I hand stitched them to a plastic pole, and we have several in our sailboat.

If you can’t find them at the hardware store, go online.

Looking for DIY home project without buying anything!?

Looking for Do-It-Yourself Solar-Powered windmill project now! And can you tell me how to make it and where to get a solar cell and where to get it and how to install it!
Without buying anything!

Try some of these ideas:

P.S. You’d probably have gotten a lot more looks at your question (and therefore answers) if you’d included the topic of your question (solar power windmill) in the *subject line*.
Most people don’t click on every question at YA to see if it might relate to something they know…would take way too long; they count on the subject line to give them that info quickly.

And you’d probably be better off to ask this technical a question in on of the other boards too, like Engineering, Green Living, Global Warming Other Science, or others…check out this search for more details:
